Extra EU Adapters Available in Survey, Production Update

Hello, backers! We have a production update, but first an important notice regarding the survey. Even if you’ve already filled out the survey, you’ll want to read this.
Each Passport Pro comes with a removable EU power adapter. You can now add more to your order through BackerKit’s add-on feature. If you don’t add any, you’ll still get one. If you add one, you’ll get two, and so on. The one that comes included with your Passport Pro will be the same color as the Passport Itself. You have the option to choose the color of any additional adapters. If you already added an EU adapter over the weekend, please note that only the black adapter was available at the time. Please revisit the survey if you'd like to choose the white one instead.
We haven’t locked the survey yet, so if you have already filled it out, you can still make changes. Simply use the link in the original survey invitation email, or visit https://passport-pro.backerkit.com and log in using the email address associated with your Kickstarter account.
We’d also like to tell you how production of Passport Pro is coming along.
As you can see from the images below, we have already prepared all the necessary components, including hardware parts, covers, etc. In order to make sure that every unit is of optimum quality, our engineers are working to assemble the Passport Pro carefully.
We are happy to report that the first batch of 1,500 Passport Pro units will be completed next week, and they will be shipped to you in early October. The remaining units are scheduled to be completed in late October, and we will ship them to you ASAP. We assure you that we are all making great efforts to produce a marvelous product that not only arrives on time, but is of optimum quality.
Thanks for your continued support and patience.

Passport Pro Update - Last Day!
– Wed, Aug 29, 2018 at 05:34:28 AM
Hello, Backers!
The Passport Pro Kickstarter Campaign is in its final few hours. We have reached nearly 400% of our funding goal and we have almost 2,700 backers. We would like to thank all of you for the support you’ve given us so far in bringing Passport Pro to life.
Today, we want to let you know how things are progressing.
1. Production & Shipment Update
As you can see from the images below, we have already prepared some materials, including hardware parts, PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and covers.
Passport Pro is scheduled for mass production in mid September and we will start to ship them to you in late September.
In order to provide a better and more user-friendly user experience for all the backers, we are considering adopting BackerKit or CrowdOx as our survey platform, and we really need your help to make this decision.. If you have ever used either platform, please tell us which one you prefer in the comments. We really appreciate every backer’s opinion.
Thanks for your continued support and patience!

Passport Pro Update

Hello, backers!
6 days to go and we have over 1,900 backers. Thank you so much for your support. Today, we want to provide you with two additional options to allow for a broader application of Passport Pro.
1. Regarding the World to EU Adapter
Some backers asked us about using Passport Pro in Europe, and we explained in the former update that you could use either the EU connector independently to power your AC-powered devices or use Passport Pro as a whole to charge your devices through the four USB ports. And now we would like to provide a third option: you can choose to buy one additional World to EU Adapter during survey stage after our campaign is finished. Pull out the USA/UK/AUS plug and plug it into the additional EU portion, then you can use the EU portion and USB ports to charge your devices simultaneously.
2. Regarding accepting Type D/M/K (Indian plugs)
In order to solve the problem that Passport Pro can’t accept Type D/M/K, we decided to offer an Indian plug as an add-on, and you can choose to buy one if you need to during survey stage after our campaign ends. Pull out the detachable World to EU adapter, and plug in the Indian plug, then you can use Passport Pro to charge your devices in 38 additional countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iraq, Jordan, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Pakistan, South Africa, and more.
Thanks for your continued support and patience!

Hello, backers!
We’re excited to share the progress of the Passport Pro project with you. We have already completed the injection molding of white Passport Pro’s covers using an enhanced mechanism that consists of two main parts: an injection unit and a clamping unit, as you can see from the pictures below:
Let’s take a closer look at how it works:
Here are the completed parts:
Some backers have asked how exactly the EU adapter part works. Passport Pro includes a detachable universal-to-Europe adapter. You can pull the EU portion off from the front of Passport Pro and use it independently to power your AC-powered devices when in Europe. When you don’t need to power any AC-powered devices in EU, you can use Passport Pro as a whole to charge your devices through the four USB ports.
Backers traveling to Australia will be happy to learn that Passport Pro’s small frame (16% smaller than Passport Classic) and advanced connector layout offers greatly improved compatibility with Australian power outlets.
Please share this project with your friends so more people can enjoy this great product! Thanks!
